Challenge Fitness is Wendy Hamilton, ACSM qualified. Registered with REPS as an advanced instructor. Wendy is also an Emmett Practitioner.

    CHALLENGE FITNESS PHILOSOPHY

    For me, fitness and health is a passion. I work with each person as an individual, to determine and achieve your health and fitness goals. Together we will achieve success. It is not just about exercise as nutrition is a vital part of your success. What you eat really does affect your body, how you feel and how you function. I will also help coach you to motivate you to achieve your objectives. I look at the whole person, not just a part.

    One aspect unique to me as a personal trainer is that I am also an Emmett practitioner. By looking at how you move, where you feel pain and discomfort perhaps due to injury or habit or where you have areas of tightness or tension I can apply Emmett therapy to improve how your body functions/feels. It is a powerful combination when added to personal training.

    SO, WHAT IS EMMETT TECHNIQUE?

    The Emmett technique is a unique body therapy which has been shown to ease pain and discomfort, increase movement and improve quality of life. It involves the application of light finger pressure on specific parts of the body. The body responds to this by changing muscle tension and action.

    Symptoms which may benefit from Emmett technique

    Back, hip, neck and shoulder discomfort. Knee and ankle restrictions including heel and foot pain. Lymphatic and sinus congestion. Migraines and cluster headaches. Bladder issues (eg stress incontinence). And much, much more!
